Back for 2027, and everyone’s invited
Walk it, run it, roll it or take your time. A free morning of colour, games and music for young people with disability, their families and the whole community.
Last year at Jamison Park
What it is
Everyone finishes covered in colour
At each station along the course, our team throws coloured powder. By the end you’re pink, mint, lilac and everything in between. Between the heats there’s a lot more going on.
What to wear
A plain white or light shirt so the colour shows up, clothes you don’t mind ruining, a hat and sunscreen.
About the powder
Cornstarch-based and non-toxic, the same kind used at colour runs everywhere. We don’t throw it at faces.
It’s not a race
Nobody is timed and there’s no finishing time to beat.
Built for everyone
A flat course on grass and hard court. Wheelchairs, walkers and prams are all fine, and heats keep younger and older runners apart.
A quiet space
A calm area away from the music and powder for anyone who needs a break.

What happens on the day
Six steps, start to finish
Some people like to know what’s coming. This is how the morning goes.
Step 1
Arrive and check in
Tell the check-in team your name. They’ll give you a wristband.
Step 2
Warm up together
We start with a dance and a stretch. Join in as much as you like.
Step 3
Run your heat
Walk, run or roll through the colour stations. Keep your mouth closed at each one.
Step 4
Play games
Between heats there’s bull rush, dodgeball, tug of war and more.
Step 5
Ribbon and prizes
Everyone gets a participation ribbon. There are lucky dip prizes too.
Step 6
Head home
Shake off the powder. A towel and a plastic bag help for the car ride.
Need a break? There’s a quiet space away from the music and powder. Ask the check-in team and they’ll show you where it is.

Throw some colour with us
It takes around 30 people to run the day, from the colour stations to the sausage sizzle. If you’d like to help, tell us here and we’ll be in touch closer to the date.
Some roles involve working with children. We’ll talk you through what’s needed before the day.
